Number Sleven, Because there are no prescription Omega-3 products in
Europe that are reimbursed by governments I would presume that over the
counter fish oil supplements will offer competition. So educating the prescriber
that Vascepa is a purified and much stronger (and safer) way to optimize the
health benefit of Omega-3's. Most people would opt to just keep taking their
fish oil supplements because we are all creatures of habit. However, if it is
explained that insurance will pay for it (assuming the patient pays out of
pocket for supplements) and Vazkepa is a pharmaceutical grade product
(so it may not be rancid or contain impurities) the patient may understand
the benefit. Of course, the number one selling point I would like to see
highlighted is "the longer one uses Vazkepa, the greater will be the benefit."
In other words, the product will not work unless the patient uses it for a very
long time.
