So what the opinion article said was:
“But the mechanistic work presented here by the investigators also shows that mineral oil was not inert with a number of pro-inflammatory markers increased over time and no measured anti-inflammatory effects associated with icosapent ethyl, only a decline, as expected, in TG.”

They concluded, with no data, that MO was inert because inflammatory markers increased over time without ANY discussion of what else could be responsible for increasing inflammatory markers (like maybe age for example)..

The assertions made were so ignorant and baseless that the author effectively made a fool of himself. One of the few, maybe only example of where I disagree with North.
