When you have 7 foundries and many other companies Lined up to use your ish you better have a robust patent portfolio.

Lebby was inducted into the patent hall of fame. Lightwave is going to have the foundries and many others produce products in Multi Billion dollar foundries.

I know that you don't believe that silicon photonics is the future but I do and lightwave is compatible with it, Much faster than it, triples the speed, reduces size, cuts power, eliminates the need for a driver. Because it is so fast and small it reduces devices, in the data center. Win, Win, Win Win.

It will be financed at least in half by public funds from the EU as part of a program to secure future EU EO supply chain... Unlike the US, the EU just released a first salvo of funds under the CHIPS Act. Mostly for CMOS so far. Next salvo to come to include Photonics as well... EPIC is working hard towards that goal. No wonder ML spoke of it during dinner...
