buyittradeit: I'm also planning to stay long re AMZN - however I feel GOOG is a stronger investment. My judgement is based on it's recent strong trading performance before the split.The pattern seems to be stocks sell off right after the split and then starts moving back up APPLE is a good example, If this pattern holds true, you could always buy GOOG a few days after the split. I preferred buying it now.
