If Merck or anyone is making an offer, let’s see it.
What Linda Powers would accept to give up control of NWBO and what ordinary shareholders who have been strung along for years would find reasonable are two different things.
Maybe the Big Pharma is saying $5 a share. That might be too low for a lot of us.
But $10 a share right now not ‘in another two years’ starts to sound better and what about $15 again right now? What about even $20, right now?
Linda Powers can afford to wait forever to see a real return on this investment even if patients can’t wait and many shareholders could use that money especially during a time when all of their other investments are getting pummeled.
Maybe we want to buy shares of Merck (or whoever) and stay part of the DCVax-L story. Maybe we want to buy blue chips during the down market and ride them back up. Maybe we need that money to get out of a holding pattern in other aspects of life (money does not create happiness but used wisely it can remove obstacles).
Whatever the case, there is a disconnect between company management and the shareholders they have dangled the carrot in front of for years, only to pull it back over and over.
