It’s so funny. When I was a teenager I was “going steady” with a guy who my father hated and who I was not supposed to even talk to.

I wrote a letter to a friend who had moved away and mentioned that the guy was my boyfriend.

Stupid me left the letter on the table and my father saw it. Big trouble!

I always told my kids never write something down that you don’t want the whole world to see. These days it’s not only writing. It is computers, tablets, cell phones, and social media.

You can run but you can’t hide.
