SC justices chosen by The Federalist Society decided today avg citizens do not need protection from gun nuts who carrying assault weapons - fights on the street, fights in bars, road rage, etc. will be a serious problem for avg citizens, NOT the SC justices who receive protection.

Scalia in Heller wrote that nothing in the decision would preclude laws making it illegal to carry guns near schools or in post offices.

The NYS Senate should immediately draft a bill banning guns within 5 miles of any school, playground or house of worship.

It’s reasonable and would effectively stop carry in the Five boroughs and cities in our state.

Given recent history, these are most certainly “sensitive places” and 5 miles would almost certainly be upheld as a “reasonable prohibition”

Test the limits, push the envelope, start to chip away at this heinous decision the same with Republicans did with Roe, Casey, and the like, it’s a 30 year battle, gird up.

And then define "playground" as "any ground where 3 or more children may regularly congregate to play"
