Ya'll seem to have a misconception of AI. Most AI is neural networks. Those networks are trained not programmed. They are trained by what inputs the operators of the system choose to provide them and the feedback provided to the system as it is being trained.. The vast majority of AI is opaque. How the AI system comes up with the results it does in not known. That " decision" making process is buried inside the black box that is the neural network. The "intellegence" is in the weighting of the connections between the various "neurons" that make up the layers of the neural network.
The KEM system used by Ariana is not really an AI system in the usual sense.
