This is silliness. When I got my call, it was clear that Amarin and other companies hire firms to call thousands of shareholders and urge them to vote.

The hired guns making the calls likely know nothing about Amarin or the six other companies they're making calls on behalf of that day. Nor do they need to. They're not allowed to recommend, suggest or analyze the voting possibilities. But they can offer to resend the email about the vote and they warn that the stockholder will get additional calls before the voting deadline.

I've gotten these same calls from other companies I own shares in.
