The key question - is there any penalty or any way to find out that your shares were loaned without your permission. After my experience with Interactive Brokers, I don't even think the shares in my IRA are safe from being loaned out.

LT, I posted this here yesterday from my conversation with a Schwab rep. They appear to be much more professional than other outfits, and they also make a market with LWLG and have 800k shares in one of their small cap funds.
