North, as I have watched my now 88 year old father age over time
It has made me more determined than ever to keep physically active as much as I can for as long as I can
As you know, weightlifting not only helps keep strong muscles, but probably more importantly, strong bones
Because as we get into out 70s, 80s, and beyond our bone density significantly naturally decreases if you don't stress them periodically
and of course weak bones means eventually cracked or broken bones
My father was amazingly physically active until about 80, and then he started sitting more and more over time, to the point where he can no longer walk with even a walker at age 88
He jogged 6 miles every other day until around age 75 - just 13 years ago!
So it is very depressing to see him now
Anyway, we all need to enjoy a healthy life for as long as we can
