You should really start looking into facts. Lithium ion batteries can burst into flame, but not explode. How many fuel-based cars burst into flames each year? About 200K.

For every 50,000 fuel-based vehicles that burst into flames you have about one Tesla that does as well.

No every brand of EV suffers from this. Its a problem with high voltage lithium batteries. Tesla just gets the most attention because it draws readers.

Chinese Electric Vehicles Are On Fire

The Chinese media reported only 86 electric vehicle fire accidents in the past two years, averaging one accident per week. However, in the first quarter of this year, 640 electric vehicles caught on fire, a year-on-year increase of 32%, which is equivalent to an average of 7 electric cars caught on fire per day, according to the latest data released by the Chinese Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management on April 3 this year.

Either the percentage is off or theres a typo here because 640 fires is 7-8 times higher than 86 fires over 2 years. Turns out that the 86 fires are by the brand BYD only. It would be helpful if the writer of the article had specified this.

This article states BYD, a supplier to Tesla, had the 86 EV fires mentioned above; most of any EV brand in China.
