Watching it happen on L2 and the tape, I'd say it's the same as before
A broker has some liquidating to do and they are dumping without much regard to maximizing the value
That's exactly why many traders keep a dirt bid in place that wouldn't likely get hit unless someone has a forced liquidation or a fat finger trade, sloppy "market sell", etc
Sky offer is the opposite, a sell placed considerably higher than a chart reader would buy at
It's like a side hustle for me, not my main thing but I do play them on relatively illiquid stocks like GSPE is at the moment

one caveat - I had a sell order filled at a huge gap up (almost double), bought more at the "normal trade range for the day" and sold a few more at almost double on the same day
The following day, my sell orders were "busted" or nullified and I had a larger position than I had intended.
Called my broker and got an explanation and they reversed my buy at my request (I wouldn't have added except for the windfall trade)
So someone made a fat finger trade or had a glitch on a currency conversion and my broker made up for my mistake on their bad data
