Great job Margaret!
I know it’s hard for many of us to understand the magnitude of work that is being done behind the scenes and many of us are “back seat driving” or “ Monday morning quarterbacking” their decisions but they also bring a lot of this on themselves.
This inaccuracy in the article can cause tremendous damage. It could hamper the ability of UCLA to recruit patients for the combo trial or any other combo trials. Why would you sign up for a clinical trial where the vaccine did no better than placebo? Maybe it won’t affect it too much and Dr. Liau and other Dr’s are able to explain the inaccuracies to their patients, but if it prevents even a few patients from joining the trial it is unfortunate. A few patients not joining may cause the trial to take longer to enroll and get TLD. A month or two may not be much but tell that to patients that may need the combo to survive.
I hope we get more news by ASCO and the ASM. I’m tired of the attacks, I’m tired of the delays(almost thought the combo trial results would be published before ours lol), I’m tired of the silence from management, I’m just tired. I hope the article is corrected this week.
