What you MUST know before you go here. If you order once you arrive, expect it to take a minimum of 30 minutes. I'd recommend ordering ahead. Even some people I saw order ahead of time had to wait 15 minutes for their food. No one here got their food in under 20 minutes with most waiting 30. They really need a sign that explains this to people who might try to come in here for a "snack". This is not where you rush over on your lunch break.Glad that is out of the way. So yeah, really nice modern décor, clean tables and bar (no alcohol) awaits you at the Pretzel Haus. The new guy at the register was friendly and helpful. I liked their soda fountain selection (purple was the best), and the a/c felt good. At one point, I noticed some of our order was ready to bring out, but I guess the person designated to bring the food out was standing next to us on the customer side having a friendly chat with a bunch of her friends. No big deal, other than it had been 30 minutes since we ordered. She was friendly though. As soon as she was done chatting, she went back and retrieved our food. The food was tasty albeit a bit on the pricey side. This will sound a bit silly since I went to a place called the "Pretzel Haus", but everything was a bit, well, too pretzely. I could have used something lighter to go with it like some fruit or a salad, but that's not the common fare in this neck of the woods. The sandwiches were just fine, but I could not help but think they were very much like pretzel hot pockets on steroids. I felt I might be able to get something similar in the frozen section at Publix. Once again, not to say it wasn't good, but I think there might be some other items on the menu that are a bit more worthwhile like the pretzel pizza or the cheesy garlic pretzel.I fear for this place, as the only quick service I saw was from online orders that I think Uber or GrubHub were picking up. If you get a reputation that sitting down to have a pretzel is going to be an hour-long extravaganza, you'll find your customers hanging out in the mall at Auntie Anne's. If this place is still there in six months, I might give it another try to see if they worked out the kinks. It is a great concept.One last thought, the mustard bar was a bit lame. Definitely could up the game there with some exotic mustards that I could not find at Winn-Dixie.”
