Steelbergs can't lose with their Veritone gig. Nice salary. If the share price goes up, wealth goes up. If the share price goes down, just get granted more shares.
Would also note the huge discrepancy of the grants to Steelbergs and the 15k share grant to Zemetra. Zemetra has been pretty busy. For the last couple years, aside from juggling his kids, he's orchestrated at least two cash raises, acquisition of Pando, among other things.
