Blarcamesine may obviate the cholesterol factor.

Anything that reduces the brains ability to feed its micahchondria [mitochondria] will reduce their ability to provide the brain with the nutrients needed to geneterate the energy that the brain requires for optimum maintance and repair.

Quite so. And that’s where blarcamesine plays its part.

It restores the ability of proteins to be properly folded and shaped in the endoplasmic reticula. The properly-shaped proteins are enzymes, some of which catalyze the reactions in the mitochondria that phosphorylate (add a phosphate to) adenosine diphosphate, turning it into ATP, adenosine triphosphate. ATP provides most of the energy to power the energy-requiring reactions and processes in living cells. If ATP is deficient, all sorts of pathologies ensue; including those found in neurons.

Blarcamesine’s ability to facilitate proper protein folding (enzyme synthesis) allows many of the consequent ‘downstream’ processes to function normally. Mis-folded proteins, enzymes, are central causative factors for a diversity of pathologies, particularly geriatric ones. If there is a cholesterol factor, as contended, it stands to reason that blarcamesine would tend to obviate it.

end2war

I have read several sources that I respect which suggest that AD is not caused by just one thing. It results from defferent things in different proportions in different people. Some have a stronger genetic component to their illness; while others cause it by a reckless lifestyle. There are many other influences, which I believe are important in the evaluation of AD, but it has a great deal in common with heart and cardiovascular problems.

We should all be looking fwd to the day when the term SYSTEM is used more in medical schools and where-ever people practice medicine. One would think..."Hey, wait a minute, we only have one body each and all the stuff in there is hard wired together and each part has a specific function...no need to go on...BOYS AND GIRLS..."THAT'S A SYSTEM". WHAT A CONCEPT...and it is ALL INTERACTIVELY and functionally linked-co-dependent".
