The rate increases are already baked in. The anticipation has been there. The stock market will go up. 3 sentences.

Higher rates will cause another POSITIVE mark-up of COOP's huge MSR portfolio, as in Q4 2021 and Q1 2022...

it appears the Federal Reserve is set to announce a 0.5% rate increase after wednesday's meeting.....they are also expected to announce a similar 0.5% rate increase for june and july meeting, in an effort to combat inflationary pressures in the economy....what will this do to the stock market?...my sense is that it will sell off, and then recover somewhat in the ensuing days... why? the market already has suffered a significant decline already, and there are legions of meme traders itching to buy the dip, as Wall Street has now become a casino mentality with commission free trading... options premiums will skyrocket as the market heads downward so there will be compelling opportunities to SELL PUTS SUBSTANTIALLY BELOW MARKET PRICES and still bring in good premiums...do this only with good stocks with good balance sheets and dependable product lines...and coop stock price?...probably will suffer somewhat, but with a low float, and O/S share structure, any downturn will be balanced by quick buying... so, one can sell puts well below the stock price and make good premiums...its coming, so be prepared... Good morning people, lodas ,The rate increases was no surprise to anyone , even I as I made this post on
Monday, January 31, 2022 10:08:10 AM
I believed the Feds would raise rates three to possibly a fourth time this year, but the grinder mill is predicting a possible 5 increases,
——————————————————-
Now a sell off is possible as the stock is beng manipulated obviously like a bouncing ball as I have posted , there is a flip side to COOP house sellers will rush to sell because of rates hikes and same goes for house buyers , foreclosures happen , but who in their right mind did not take advantage of the lower rates and the possibility of cheaper Morgage and lesser time within the first ten year of the morg Soooo The sell off isssss a market game IMO.
