Very true. They could get a lot of mileage with shareholders if they simply and truthfully updated (by PR, not f'in twitter) how things are progressing on the retail store front, to name one. Through company principals, the company purposefully and officially built up anticipation on youtube, tweets, PRs, etc., only to fall dead silent when the rubber was due to meet the road.
