You preference assumes that the Anavex staff is resource limited. To use your analogy they already have most of the dishes in the oven so the work load is greatly reduced.
From what we have seen posted on the board most of the data analysis and report writing is likely being farmed out anyway. I can't verify if that is true for Anavex or not.
I'm with you wanting them to get one dish on the table.
