#47594 RE: geauxlsu #47590

geauxlsu, a few things come to mind:

1. The picture of hardware under the rig deck is somewhat rare with Zion; the up close pictures they publish are usually on the rig deck. The tall red device is a "Christmas tree" which contains values for controlling oil and gas flow, allows the rig to enter the hole from the top ,and allows chemicals such as acid to be injected. It appears that the workers are setting it in place, or at least adding function to it. I seem to recall an earlier picture of the BOP being the annular type which looks like a big red tub and is not as tall as this device. If so, then this Christmas tree has been added/expanded as part of the well completion that Dunn spoke of in recent updates.

2. Speaking with local municipalities could mean giving them a heads up on flare activity and road traffic as oil/water is hauled away. Both the flare and the road traffic is a nuisance. In my oil patch, its common for the trucks to damage roads and the operator needs to be prepared to upgrade/repair them.

3. I've never looked forward to meeting with my "supervisory committee" unless there was good news to talk about. Lets hope Dunn looks forward to addressing the share holders at the upcoming annual meeting!

4. They need to run down hole for something for completion. A down hole trip usually takes about 4 days on a well this deep. I don't know what they are doing down hole, the liner and casing are probably already set. So, this operation could take 1/2 week to several weeks depending on what they are doing.

5. Zion did not speak of "completion" taking place on MJ01, so its encouraging that we have moved beyond the result of MJ01. But, still no guarantees with MJ02.
