Why, COOP could now repurchase 6.26 million shares for $252 million (which is the capacity of the current repurchase program) at the current PPS. Each single share would become MORE VALUABLE when the O/S is reduced from 73.x million to 67.x million

But you are right, I also think declaring a dividend would be better to support a higher PPS and stop this manipulation with shorted shares...

IMO...Foolish decision by the BOD, their stock buy back program, hasn't done chit .

Would have been better off, using the money for something else more tangible, like buying another company, or as many have said, a dividend.

Depends on just how ya look at this

IT has ALSO taken A LOT OF SHARES OFF THE TABLE that might MIGHT have to be bought out later at some time.

Probably they sold into the PPS move Up on their Stock Purchase actions...they'll be Ok with PPS falling now because I am sure they'll 'gift themselves' some more free Stock Options at a lower Strike price and then ride up the PPS, once they exercise, the Mgmt of COOP have been executing this Modus Operandi like Clockwork.

That usually is the case. It’s like burning money in a bonfire. If they had given a dividend it would have benefited the shareholders and attracted more buyers to this stock.
