thanks and yes I remeber the 70's very well.
I was selling real esate and bought a new 1975 garnd torin ford wagon. Gaas was .79 per gallon It go 9 miles to the gallon in town, but if I was on the inetrsate and got it going 80 and over it got 30. Back then thne Monford pack in Greely Co had a steady stream of trucks going to CHicago. They ran right at 100 mph and all on CB's. I haad one and stayed tuned to CH 19 evefry now and then you'd hear bear am mile markerXX or BEar in the air.every thing would drop to 75
In Sept 79 interest rates went from 7% to 13% in one day and in 2 months they hit 18%
In 1965 I was selling homes with assumanle loans of 2 3/4 % and 3-5%
