If U want to consider PCSK9’s as statin add ons … fine with me
They’re mainly used by HeFH patients , some of whom are statin intolerant and use PCSK9’s instead of statins
There are also ASCVD patients with TG levels below 150 adding V to their statin therapy .
A marketing idea behind NVS’s Inclirisan is 2 shots of their PCSK9 a yr ( 6 mths apart ) .. INSTEAD of daily statins for lowering LDL .
No one is suggesting Vascepa instead of statins . V is seen solely as an add on
