True, but those natural responses may not be to all the antigens, when inside the body. Just like with DCVax, the process can be calculated to create a far more powerful response. Not just more cells, but more cells that more thoroughly annihilate the tumor quickly. And a vaccine to ensure it does not come back.

Correct and remember that “hot tumors” have had an active immune response going on and those “hot” activated T-cells can be isolated from the blood draw too and be replicated to boost the immune response.



In this paper (looking at NSCLC), it was shown that HLA loss occurred in about 40% of patients and was enriched in ''hot'' TMEs. Beyond that, mutations in other components of antigen presentation machinery were common, with more than 75% of squamous and 50% of adenocarcinoma types https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1032-7

Or put another way, resistant to T-cells.
