True stories:

I was in Opa-Locka a few years ago getting ready to return a rental car at the airport so I stopped to top off the gas tank. My credit card wouldn't get approved for the purchase. So I used a different one and next time I checked my e-mail there was a notification that "someone" had attempted to use my card in an area where fraudulent transactions were happening at a high rate (or something to that effect).

Another time I was in Boca Raton and went to a restaurant drive thru and paid with a credit card. The clerk gave me my order but never gave me my card back. I asked for it and he swore up and down he had given it to me. I went back to the hotel and looked all around the car, under the seat and everything and I didn't have it. So I called AMEX, and they told me it had already been used at a couple different clothing stores!
