Exactly.

The Greater Fool Theory at work.

The underwriters never anticipated that the CVM results would not be well received in the broader market. And may have overlooked issues with the actual trial results.

What is CVM’s stock price today? Answer: $5

A Phase 3 cancer immunotherapy company, CEL-SCI (NYSE:CVM), enters into an underwriting agreement with Kingswood Capital Markets to purchase 1M shares at a price to the public of $22.62 per share.

The price represents a 5% discount to the company’s June 8, 2021 closing share price.

Underwriter's 30-day option to purchase up to 15% of the offering at the public price.

Closing expected to occur on or about June 11, 2021.

We’re you an investor in CVM? Was not. But volatility is a baseline part of investing in such small biotechs, and fueling uncertainty, even when things are good is apart of the business model and profit model of certain traders. I did not buy CVM because it is not apparent to me that it is what it is claimed to be, but if someone else did their due diligence and decided to invest there, I’d say it is a gamble but their right to make that choice, and then generally speaking, since it is not my choice, I’d basically leave the further due diligence to them, and focus on my own investments.
