Great post.

Glad to see other people here posting on short sellers and market makers and how they interact within the fundamental scheme of financial markets.

I want to point out the most important parts of your post and say it again...

Short "Sales/Interest" Example: Investor 'A' borrows 1,000,000 shares, sells them, then hopes the stock goes down. If it does, Investor 'A' buys back the shares at a lower price, returns them to the lender, and keeps the price difference (minus fees & interest).

As simple as that.

Intraday volume Market Makers transactions when they temporarily short a stock for a couple of seconds or a minute to fill an order in a timely manner, then cover a couple minutes later

As simple as that.

Short "Volume" Example: 1,000,000 buy order comes in. MM doesn't have 1,000,000 handy to fill the order, so quickly shorts 1,000,000, fills the order for the customer rather than keep them waiting.

And this is why the market maker brings liquidity and order flow to the matching process of "trading."

A market makers job is to always be stand by ready for buyers and sellers in order to keep a liquid market.

My experience is these explanations are pointless in the pinks in RGBP. Logic doesn't apply here. Facts like this get thrown out if they don't back the bullish view.

That being said, what you posted is a slam dunk.

I expect to see the bad data quoted and accepted as fact again and again. The result? A 90% decline in RGBP!
