What energy we use is not like the tides, it is a deliberate decision. And “pollution” as you call it is making out planet literally uninhabitable and will be responsible for mass extinctions across the board that may lead to our own, making us much, much more stupid than the dinosaurs who were wiped out by a meteor but did not wipe themselves out and most other life on the planet.
