If Apple uses CIP tech they don’t need to pay a license or royalty, presumably. But they still need to pay for manufacturing. They don’t get to have their parts made for cost. There is a necessary profit that must be built into the manufacturing contract. Apple will pay that margin and LMT will contract out the manufacturing. Thus Liquidmetal makes money on the contract.
Apple has every right to say that we now use bulk metallic glass in our products. After all, who would want to say that some of our products are now made using Liquidmetal!
