Question: "The third question is did Elite lose interest in the opioid business?"

Nasrat: "Hell no!"

Nasrat: "A third one since I’ve already touched on Oxy ER, we decided to work on running one more clinical trial for ADT product."

Excellent, this is an opinion on Elite that provides an informative medical perspective.

As to this...

but if investors keep asking me to comment on it, I will be happy to, especially if it is helpful to those investors who seem to lack a true sense of business strategy.

Not sure I see the professional connection...

For a related example, I go to see my medical practitioner when I have a medical condition in need of his expertise. But, I do not ask him for advice on business management...or strategy...even if the matter is about a business, like Elite, that is in the drug business. While he may be a small business owner in healthcare, he has someone who runs the business, and I would never conflate his business with a business that covers a full range of value chain activities.

Which brings me - someone with more than a terminal degree in business, but with actual experience in management and strategy in a big business - to the following.. .

The much derided "pivot" enabled Elite to become profitable and that is why businesses exist, to pursue profitability. All business executives understand it is not an abstract notion but the ultimate goal. And, frankly, as long as what Elite sells is legal, I am not sure why I should care what products Elite sells to get there and remain there, as long as they continue to develop new products and expand their portfolio.

As for whether Nasrat should have known about the insurance issues with opioids, we might presume so; except it is like insuring your car before and after a major at fault accident. On a more relative scale, I actually spoke to a big business insurance professional (not some local agent) and asked about the parameters around which such business insurance might have changed and, while he is in a consumer products business, they have a related product liability and he offered a reasonable guess, indicating insurance is likely to have changed for Elite due to a range of issues related to the growing awareness of opioid abuse and the subsequent resulting harm that has been the basis for litigation and political engagement.

So, when asked about business management and strategy, I will continue to provide a perspective, including writing articles and giving talks, because it is my area of expertise and it is why I am on this board.
