As you are well aware
Fund managers within a company mostly buy the stocks that are recommended by their own companies research department
That’s how fund managers preserve their jobs

So if someone at vanguard said they like anavex
Then a dozen different fund managers,have the green light to add it their funds

If the Stock is a bust the fund managers are protected

I am more impressed with the Vanguard Explorer Fund and the Vanguard Strategic Small-Cap Equity Funds because they are actively managed. The index funds have Anavex because they meet the index criteria.
