The patents are worthless. A number of other companies are using similar technologies and are in pilot stages of introducing their cards after spending tens of millions of dollars in research and development .. The pending patents are only aesthetics on the card. Go check it out. They tried to sue visa using a patent and we know how far they got with that.
I've been waiting for fifteen years for a deal to be done... With anyone... If it hasn't happened in that time what makes you think It'll happen now all of a sudden... Just do a little DD you'll find this has been going on for so long that the technology has passed us... One of my sons says he hasn't used a credit card for two years.. Pays everything via his phone.
