catty,
I have been in options in the eighties when the ticker tape first was put on cable tv.
I had a classmate from College who was my broker at Meryl Lynch.
One sadly "memorable day" I will always remember.
I had bought Greyhound share options for several hundred dollars.
In two weeks the broker called me speaking low telling me my options were worth 18,000, asking/suggesting to sell.
My response was stupid and the result of blind ambition and total lack of knowledge. I told him that I'd wait as $18,000 won't change my lifestyle. I'd wait for $50,000... as then that would be what I needed!!! Only few days later it had gone down in price to few hundred dollars! Such is life. Live and learn. Learn and live.
I understand your conclusion and respect your decision about options.
