Thank you String, for answering my question about the stock dividend; you have made it perfectly clear.

The reverse logic of that would be that, if you buy the stock today, you would be entitled to receive the dividend, even tho you did not hold the stock on the "record date". If not, then what becomes of the dividend shares that would have been due to the holders on the record date who sold prior to the issuance date?
