I'm not sure. From the letter I've posted, I'd say CVS only offers Vascepa brand. But I can't tell you for sure. It is likely that someone on the board can help you better than me, sorry.

So I am having a bit of a hard time to understand. Is this for one specific plan or all prescriptions filled at CVS to be brand only?

In other words if Walgreens tries again this next refill to give me gV can I just take my script to CVS to get brand V?

Excellent question RMB. Probably the only definitive thing we can say at this time is that the Empire Plan in New York has made this substitution. CVS Caremark administers the Empire Plan along with a multiplicity of other plans.

Would be nice if it was all CVS administered plans but I'm not willing to make that jump yet.

Pharmacydude or the other pharmacists/insurers on the board would probably be wiser than me.
