True, the whole point of incorporating is the company survives the many founders, employees and shareholders for as long as the venture has promise and the notion that this venture would not be promising because the people who got it to the finish line are older is really just someone’s hopes for a buyout.
Nonetheless, it is a common thing to see a buyout after major announcements of success for these small cap bio / large opportunities. It does not happen always, and clearly partnership is another and very promising option.
