Walmart has reportedly filed several applications and trademarks with the US Patents Office, concerning the cryptocurrency and metaverse space.
The company has plans to sell virtual good and services, including home decorations, toys, games, health and fitness classes and more – all in augmented and virtual reality.
Walmart is following in the steps of Adidas, Gucci, Balenciaga and others, who have also recently entered the virtual reality space.
