This stuff is not binary, and pre and post omicron are different environments. Everybody can get it now and spread it, but if you are vaxxed and boosted you have better odds against getting it and spreading it. Most importantly, you have much much better odds against death and disability. By the way, even a "mild" case (i.e., not hospitalized) can be extremely unpleasant and a couple of week's duration. That alone is worth avoiding to the extent possible. The dosage of initial exposure helps determine severity, so stay out of indoor and especially unmasked crowds. On the bright side, at least delta has been outcompeted.

This is the most transmissable disease in human history -- that's why there is so much of it.
