What about the noise reduction EV vs Desiel in the cab of the EV truck?
No multi speed transmission in E.V. trucks. motor controller controls speed with single speed transmission, I'm guessing used for speed reduction. The motors we worked with rated 600 HP, max speed bench tested 4000 RPM.
Electric motors generate higher torque than D. Year's ago worked on two phased solid state motor drives installed in trackless trolley busses, CA, WA and PA. sold to transit authority in these state. These where very nice for the steep hills in San Francisco and Washington state. I spent a week riding around S.F. in a E.V. bus monitory readings. Bus full of sand bags used to emulate weight of passengers.
