Well that's what the filing from the DOJ is asking for from the judge. I assume that is the standard stick that they implement to get the defense to comply.

Looks like the Judge has issued an order on this today. I don't see the details yet.

Look at it this way, all this crap is wasting the judge's time as well as the DOJ's. You'd think the judge will keep this in mind at sentencing time! A few extra years of prison might be in store for our smelly incompetent felon-friend!

As the DOJ said in their filing, "enough is enough!"

If it is civil contempt then all that will happen is sanctions until he complies. That could be financial penalties or being remanded.

Is the government asking for bail to be rescinded?

They know this trial is a lost cause. Providing a device that relies on a blood reading that doesn't work is just another nail in the case.

Maybe it can be used by Govt lawyers to check their glucose readings though.
