If I have settlement dates in writing for each share purchased and I purchased through the IEX exchange on TDA, then wouldn’t these shares be real?

Schwab holds your actual shares themselves, not through another party.

The only caveat to that is if you have a margin account, and even another position held on margin they can “loan” out your other AMC shares as collateral on that margin loan.

So, with Schwab/TDA, you are golden as long as you are not holding anything on margin.

I put in a transfer from Webull to TDAmeritrade last Thursday. Being told different things from each person I talk to when I call to daily check on the status. Told them to expedite it......but looks like they just started working on it today. Told me 3 to 5 days for partial transfer. I tried to open an account with Fidelity and it was a s-show. Had it open and then they closed it due to an issue that I could never get to the bottom of. I already had an open TD account.
