At least the Holtwood project is not dead from Brookfield's perspective.
No comment from PLUG Power.
One possibility is that PLUG is researching another site remote from Holtwood Dam, but still committed to Holtwood's hydroelectricity.
In some states a residential home can buy Green Power and not even be close to a clean green power site. They just pay more on their electric bill for the bragging right of funding Green Power.
The March 30, 2021, PR stated, "The plant will be located along the Susquehanna River in south-central Pennsylvania." So, it could be upstream toward Harrisburg, PA, or downstream closer to the Chesapeake Bay.
Checking the PA PUC website there is nothing filed or pending about electric rate or anything else.
Brookfied has a prior Agreement with the PJM Interconnection which may entail cutting off local customers for sake of the larger electric grid.
My guess is PLUG Power is now planning and the March 30 PR was conceptual and premature.

Thanks uk- The way the transcript reads, it's as if the only thing Brookfield agreed to is to provide the power for PLUG's plant. I've been trying to access the PLUG website to see how PLUG worded the agreement, but haven't been able access the website since about 3pm.

It is a mystery why we don't hear about any progress. Maybe velcro is right and they got ahead of themselves.
