Here is why I think Walther is listed as a defendant. Schaefer knows he could lose the suit with Adelstein. (i think it likely he will) In the event that he does, he wants to make legally sure that Walther is solely on the hook for payment to Adelstein ... and not the company.
If'n I was Schaefer, I would be pretty tired of the drama in which Walther keeps entangling IFUS. I should think Schaefer should also seek out the man in New Jersey and strike an agreement with him. Get the company back on the road. In business it certainly helps when all the oars are rowing in the same direction.
