Recycling will only help replace old with new. It doesnt solve the max lithium problem. Recycling will help with your average Tesla buyer keep upgrading every 5 years. Great for consumerism and capitalism and an improvement for current enviornmental impact. Still how many EVs need to be manufactured to actually reduce Co2? How much CO2 has to be released in the shortterm for that? Just how much pollution do we need to release now so that's theres enough lithium batteries to recycle for new cars to be sold?

Ya that doesn't work...the element degrades with time. Look up lithium reports....a generation worth at most....not renewable at all just temporary....if Henry Ford in 1900 thought there was only 50 years fossil fuels he would have used something else
