Movies, like anything else, are distributed strategically. They go to theatres that are going to do the best first. Extrapolating the first 100 theatres revenue evenly across all 1,000 theatres (assuming they even get to that many, which is a huge assumption) is completely unrealistic. It's not going to happen and makes absolutely no sense. Need proof? Look at the revenue of the second movie.
First of all, let's be specific. Revenue improves the income statement directly, and the balance sheet indirectly. Now, the market cap is strictly a function of the number of outstanding shares and the stock price. At the rete the stock price is going down and the number of outstanding shares is skyrocketing, the market cap it not going up any time soon. That's just the reality. In fact, the market cap has lost about $2MM in the last few weeks.
