We all know we can raise the money to sue if that happens. I also think Irish companies require higher shareholder approval threshold and since retail owns the majority of shares we can muster enough no votes.
Now, this could be the Chinese buying up a bunch before market approval and I would not rule out a China government buyout. They are looking to dominate biotech.

"12 Signs Your Company is Being Targeted for Buyout Theft"

Look at the most critical sign. Institutional ownership is simply way too low to consider this method of attack. Though I do not have up to the minute information, I have been watching ownership breakdown for the last several years and for most of this year it has been sub-30%. The value destruction of Amarin has come through the US courts and the delays in any visibility of business going forward. Loss of main market coupled with no color on business elsewhere in the world gives the market little to nothing to practically value at this point. If the company can't defend the stock, then its fair game for any of the vultures out there to do what they may.

This is a company culture that has compensated, guided, and has asked to be judged on milestones. It appears that all anyone cares about now is growth and profitability. They hopefully survive the "grind it out" phase.
