Not a complete list as $AVXL is no on it, but here some other earnings calls for 24th. half and half before and after market close.

Does it mean anything? Probably not, but I couldn't be botheres investigating all these companies for possible after or before market close pattern.

The date of the earnings call is much ado about nothing.

Anavex's market cap has increased past the threshold to make Anavex an Accelerated Filer for the 10K. That means they have 60 days from the end of the fiscal year to file. September 30 is the end of the fiscal year.

In previous years Anavex's market cap was below the accelerated filer threshold which meant that Anavex had 75 days to file.

Depending on how you count the 60 days Anavex would have to file on Nov 26th or Nov 29th. Neither of those is a good choice so filing on the 24th is a reasonable filing date.
