I believe that Dr. Liau and Dr. Ashkan have said all we need to know about how great the trial was when they discussed Top 100 results. In 2018 Dr. Liau said the median survival for them was nearly 5 years, more recently Dr. Ashkan said, over 7 years.
How does a trial of 300 people who receive the vaccine fail in a disease that normally kills 95% of patients in 5 years when 100 patients lived, or are still living at a median of over 7 years, where all now have 6 years or significantly more in the trial. I don't think it's possible to judge this to be a failure, the only question in my mind is, just how much better can Dr. Liau do when using other therapeutics and surgical procedures with the vaccine. I believe that some of the trials being run at UCLA right now will show improvement on our Phase 3 Trial, but the vaccine is a part of all of them. I cannot say with any certainty if any of the other trials are being presented at SNO by any of Dr. Liau's colleagues who'll be presenting there.
