Gary, there was a white paper a few years back, I believe from the Royal Society, that reasoned in therapeutic biological development, sometimes, for instance, as one gets better at selecting the most effective cell type, within a group of therapeutic cells manufactured, you are not necessarily changing the therapy more than you originally did, but instead increasing the strength — in nonbiological systems this would be akin to increasing the dose. This was thought to be necessary logic because otherwise you are forced to go back to the bottom of the pit and try to roll the stone up too many times, and thus waste years, if not decades of research time.
